Ph03nix89 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I've searched the forums and haven't found a solution so here goes: I'm trying to make a custom xml database for psx as some of the games aren't listed in the most recent database update(PAL versions of the point blank trilogy for example). However, when I try to generate a new database in RocketLauncher UI it doesn't detect a number of the games in the my roms folder. Adding the entry to the xml manually doesn't work either as the new entry appears in the newly generated list but the rom isn't found when I run the audit. The file names match, the roms are all in the same folder and the proper format, and I have the neccesary file extensions listed for the emulator so I'm out of ideas as to why RL can't find some of the roms when it finds the others. I'll upload images of any relevant settings tomorrow as it's late but any help would be greatly appreciated. (If this has already been covered elsewhere and I was just unable to find it could someone please share the link, I'll confrim if it has solved the problem and get this thread closed)
Ph03nix89 Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 Update: After spending more time tinkering I have all of the roms detected(a combination of changing file and folder names did the trick) bar one, and I cannot figure it out. It's an iso image(all the rest are bin/cues) and I have tried every naming convention I can think of. I have iso added to the extension list for epsxe in the global emulator settings. I have tried unpacking the iso to a bin/cue but this isn't detected either and it also now hangs on an empty black screen when you try to launch it in epsxe. It worked perfectly before as an iso so I'm stumped as to a solution to this. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
Creezz67 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 maybe post some images so people can see what your issue is ?
Ph03nix89 Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 Solved the problem. RL database and folder name were set as Time Crisis (E).iso(which is my usual naming convention) The iso file name was Time Crisis(E).iso. Didn't notice the lack of a space between the s and the parenthesis until I was grabbing screenshots to post and had the full file path visible in the navigation bar. Annoyed that I missed it but lesson learned. Thanks cataclysm for inadvertenly leading me to the solution! If admin could close this thread please and thanks.
