Jive Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I am re-doing my MAME cabinet, and using Hyperlaunch HQ for the first time. So far, everything has been going well. I have MAME, NES, Sega Master System, and Atari 2600 emus setup thus far. Problem I am having is there is a bunch of console game roms in my wheels that I do not have. Using Don's tools/list generator, I was able to sort out the MAME roms fine, but when I do, say the NES roms, and check it to only show games I have, I get a blank list. I investigated the NES .ini file, and it is mostly blank, whereas my MAME .ini shows all the correct paths. I guess my question is how does the .ini files get populated? Everything works fine in Hyperspin, just a lot of games showing that I do not have. Thanks for any help!

Jive Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 You may be right on that. I just assumed Hyperlaunch HQ took care of that. I shall report back.
Jive Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 As an update, I did set the paths up in Hyper HQ, and now the paths show up in Don's tools, but it still doesn't see them. Clicking to only show the games I have results in a blank screen. As I stated before, the audits work fine in Hyperlaunch HQ.
~ J ~ Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I am running into the same issues myself. Ive set all paths even in Hyper HQ and everything works great in HyperSpin and audits work in HyperLaunch HQ but no games show in Dons tools. Its odd that artwork and videos do though. I am starting to wonder if part of the issue is that I am installing everything to an external HD. I may run a trial by installing everything on primary HD. If that works I will update.
albert_c Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 In addition to the rom path, you also need to set up the file extensions for your roms in HyperHQ. Also, make sure Don's HyperSpin Tools is in it's own folder inside your HyperSpin folder. When you find great deals on Craigslist for CRT based cabs, exuberance can be a bad thing! Current status of cabs: 0/5 working as desired :wallbash:
~ J ~ Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 albert_c you just made my day! Makes perfect sense now that I needed to set the extensions in HyperHQ. Tried it on a few systems and now everything works as it should!
