I have several different arcade cabinets running MAME; each with different controllers and button configurations. I am trying to create an updated 214 setup for each system based on players and buttons as well as genre. I have a mamelist.xml that has all of the data in it for the number of players, buttons, etc. When I use a tool like Don's Hyperspin Tools Fitler Hyperlist it isn't showing anything in the buttons column. I have the source xml pointing to the mame.xml in the hyperspin database folder and the mamelist.xml pointing to the one generate by MAME (verified to have all the data). Any ideas? I'd like to be able to make custom lists but I can't seem to get the source data to show up. Is there a better tool?
ParadiseCS Posted November 3, 2019 Author Posted November 3, 2019 Thanks. I've tried that but I haven't found an option to make lists according to the number of buttons. I did make genre lists using it and now I'm trying to weed out the garbage for my main lists.
