broke4now Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Hello,I have got back to hyperspin since it's cold out and got my joy2key working..somewhat.i have unchecked hq joystick and my profile seems to work for hyperspin but first I have to left click mouse to get it to release control to my joystick and buttons.i only have 2 for profile, button 3 to start and button 9 for escape after that my mame controls joystick in game.seems easier for me less confusion for buttons mapped for genre and so on.any how when it starts up during intro video I can't cancel by moving joystick or buttons on cab until I hit the mouse or keyboard.then sometimes when I hit button to enter mame wheel it goes full screen(I think it's set up to full in mame) but no control of buttons until I click mouse and it also has the systems tray on screen at bottom till click.i think something is just not releasing control of desktop till then but I don't have any idea how to fix it.i made it this far and hate to go back to hq controls as it would go crazy spinning around til it decided to quit!any ideas would be appreciated.thanks in advance
Spawk Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Classic "focus" issue. Without knowing what guide you followed or how exactly you are setup, I can only suggest that you do not load joytokey from within HQ. Best practice in my opinion is to have it load through windows startup folder. This way it is loaded and minimized long before you load HS and should never steal focus. If this is happening everytime you exit a game, you may also want to try the "restore frontend and click" option in RLUI.Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk
broke4now Posted January 16, 2020 Author Posted January 16, 2020 Thanks for replying ..I think I have it going.after much trial and error what I did was set it to false in rl then in hq set it as start up and exit program.it seems to be working now correctly.i guess they were both starting joy2key and one was on top of the other that's why I had to click one to get it to run the other.anyhow thanks and it sure is nice to have wheel control again
