InfectedNinja Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Hi all, I recently downloaded and installed bezels for mame emulator in hs but for some reason the sides don’t show up. (Using rocketlauncher bezels not mame ones). The “screen” around the gamewindow shows up fine; only missing the background I suppose; so I see the borders of the introscreen of the game itself. The weirdest thing is that starting the same games from rocketlauncherui does show everything as it should. A complete different question concerning the bezels is the gamewindow seems to make the background smaller; thus hiding alot of the artwork from the background; is this normal behavior? I could only check this from inside rocketlauncherui, due to problem above. I could take pictures if my explination is confusing
Spawk Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 The weirdest thing is that starting the same games from rocketlauncherui does show everything as it should. Hmmm, either HS is using RL to launch or not... should not be any different??? the gamewindow seems to make the background smaller; thus hiding alot of the artwork from the background; is this normal behavior?Yes, it sounds like you are using Metalzoic's pack. He didnt just collect the bezels, he actually edited them so that the actual gameplay area is as big as possible keeping the correct ratio. This often hides the artwork.Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk
InfectedNinja Posted February 13, 2020 Author Posted February 13, 2020 Aparently deleting the _Default directory in RL/media/bezel/Mame and replacing it with one I downloaded wasn't such a good idea. I restored the original dir and the bezels started working as it should. I just had a bar on top and bar on bottom that showed the gameinfo background (not covered with the bezel); but that was solved by forcing a 16:9 resolution on my monitor (monitor is a 16:10 apparently). Followed step 1 here http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?2497-Resized-Alex-mame-horizontal-bezels-for-16-10-users
Spawk Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 That's very interesting... I dont fully understand how he claims no stretching though... The monitor is physically 16:10! Force switching a resolution cant change that, something is being stretched or cropped somewhere. ???Glad u got it "going" at least.Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk
