The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hi all,

I have several question I have been unable to find the answer to and I hope you can help out (Listed by 'priority'):

1) I have a full working romset for Game Boy and a full box set which I use for the wheel art, however several games do not display the art and instead revert to the default written text, one of these games is Pokemon - Yellow Version - Special Pikachu Edition (USA, Europe). The rom works fine in hyperspin and launches no problem, the art is labeled the same too yet it doesnt appear, any idea as to why?

EDIT: Solved. Some were .jpg and not .png

2) When launching Project 64 it will flash the emu windowed for a few seconds before switching to full screen and launching the game, is there a way to only show the emu when it has switched to fullscreen?

3) I have a full N64 set and navigating the wheels when holding down the keyboard key after landing on a rom begins to move slower, like it is loading the videos (without them playing) before it moves on, scrolling in the opposite direction goes at full speed), any advice here?

4) Project 64 seems to require me to manually set each game up rather than a global setting for all roms, is there a way around this?

5) Is it possible to up the resolution for hyperspin? I would love to create some 1920x1080 themes as the way the resolution stretches on my monitor the current themes end up looking quite pixelly, if not, what is the best monitor aspect to display hyperspin in (also for future cabinet monitor purchase)?

Thanks a lot!

2. Try using fade to hide the emulator, if it still happens try bezels.

You could also give the 1964 emu a try.

5. No. Not sure what the native res is, maybe 1024x768

Fade helped, not perfect but It will do for now so thanks for that!

I've been working on PSX now and I have noticed some games plain refuse to load, notably the 1xtreme roms, they either don't load and hang on a black screen or take in excess of 2 mins to load! Is it best to extract and run via .bin/cues because that's what I am doing and the games with only 1 of each work great but the aforementioned 1xtreme and others that have several .bin's just hang, anything I am missing?
