Printing Decals..what printers can be used for the home DIY project

Hi there all!! 

I build Bartop arcades and there is a limited amount of help when it comes to printing decals so I wanted to put this up for all the DIY project builders..

I need help with which printer can be used for decals from home!! Eg can I use a $30 canon inkjet printer from my local store?? Or are there only certain types of printer's I can use!! Please help!!

Cheapest option would be great!!
