Mame Auditing Extremely Slowly

Anyone having a problem with Mame auditing very slowly all of a sudden. I just recently added the xml file from hyperlist. Could that be the problem or is it something else. It usually audits much, much faster. None of my other systems are auditing slowly, just Mame.

Scanning 10,000 files is never fast but that does look extra slow eh.

Maybe that exclamation point in a yield sign at the bottom right has something to do with it. I know I have seen it before but don't recall exactly what was wrong.

That is just a warning message saying there are a few duplicate entries in the database.

Yes a "warning", meaning things shouldn't be that way!

Can you tell me why you have this? I am not being sarcastic, I am just curious. Can't think of a reason why you would need to.

In the xml file for Mame, there are two entries of a particular game. In my case there were multiple. I edited the xml and cleared all the duplicate games by hand, just in case that was the problem. Now, the warning is gone, but it's still auditing slowly.

Odd for sure... maybe it has to do with being in the "my documents" folder??? I never run anything from any "windows" folders. You are sometimes required to run as "admin" when you do this kind of thing, and since we often call programs from within other programs, you often have to run everything as "admin"!

Just throwing ideas out there. Thankfully the audit only checks filenames, that's it. You don't have to actually run it in order to run a game.

NGL, I didn't realize you could play the games without auditing them. Holy crap, thx!
