TCFKAE Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Hi All. I've got WinUAE (Amiga) working through Hyperspin. I can change/save the default WinUAE configuration (within the WinUAE emulator) to include 1MB RAM (necessary for some games to run at full speed) but when I open an Amiga game through Hyperspin RAM defaults to 512k. Anyone experienced this? Any solutions to getting 1MB RAM to load by default in Hyperspin? Thanks.
gigapig Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 It's probably Rocketlaucher that is changing that value. Have a look in the global module settings for Amiga and there you should be able to select the Ram amount globally or per game.
TCFKAE Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 Thanks gigapig. Having done some more searching this looks like an unresolved issue. "ROM Settings" lets you specify "QuickStartMode" options for specific games and looks like it might be used to specify particular Amiga models (with enhanced RAM) which could be a partial fix. Do you know if there is a guide to setting up FS-UAE in Hyperspin? I've got it working but it seems to require precisely named rom files within zips (which WinUAE does not) which would be a pain.

Can you use .lha ROMs with FS-UAE? These are self contained so should be easy to rename if required. There are sets around as I found one for Raspberry Pi but I'm not 100% if they work with FS-UAE. Have you also paid a visit to the Rocketlaucher forum for Win UAE info?
