The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

All Games work in HyperLaunch & HQ but not in Hyperspin

I had this all working at one point then while fiddling with wheels, artwork & joypads I've screwed something up & can't find an answer.

All of the games work fine when loaded from HyperLaunch or HyperLaunchHQ but in Hyper spin I can go to all games with the GUI working fine but when I load a game I get this error then it disappears & Hyperspin carry's on.

Here's the errors for just 2 but this is the same for all emulators now.

Cannot Find C:\HYPERS~1\Hyperspin\Emulators\Project64\Project641.6\Project64.exe

Cannot Find C:\HYPERS~1\Hyperspin\Emulators\MAME\mame64.exe

I've looked at a few threads on here but none seem to have the same error message as me.

I tried rfancella's sudgestion of turning off HyperLaunch enabled in HyperHQ which worked for MAME but for the others gave me no error but no game loads.

Thanks for the help guys. If you need any info I'm a bit new to all this so just say what you need & how to get it & I'll post the info.

Steve,

If you are using HLHQ and HyperLaunch, you must have HyperLaunch enabled in HyperHQ. If they launch ok in HLHQ then check your path to HyperLaunch.

Open the file .../HyperSpin/Settings/Settings.ini

You should have a line that says:

Hyperlaunch_Path=

at the bottom of your [Main] section.

This points to the directory that has your hyperlaunch.exe file in it.

If you have the correct directory structure it should look like this:

Hyperlaunch_Path=HyperLaunch\

You should have ...\HyperSpin\HyperLaunch\HyperLaunch.exe

I have seen this issue if there is more than one HyperLaunch.exe and your setup is trying to use an old HyperLaunch.

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Ron thanks for the speedy reply.

So all Emu's need to have HyperLaunch enabled in HyperHQ under the wheel tab?

You should have ...\HyperSpin\HyperLaunch\HyperLaunch.exe - Yes this is correct.

I checked the Settings.ini file & I don't have Hyperlaunch_Path= in the file?! I've not touched any of this so I've no idea why it screwed now.

Steve,

Your very welcome! And thank you for the kind words.

I have heard of other users that have had such strange stuff happen as well. Often it is some other software running in the background (maybe anti-virus) that will wipe out a file. I have seen some very strange stuff happen. ;)

Thanks,

Ron
