Hello all,

I got a Hyperspin Android pack with the medias (Wheels, artwork, etc ...) on the internet and I'm trying to adapt this pack to have a 4K with the right ratio on the media.

I modified the resolution in the "settings.ini" file with these lines:
FullScreen=true
Width=3840
Height=2160

The display now seems to be in 4k but the images of the wheels and game covers remain in the same size, I tried to resize the images but the size remains the same only uglier.
Could someone tell me how I can change the Wheels and Artwork size settings please?

Thank you very much.
Regard

I'm no HS expert, but I would say, HS was created, media, themes etc. before 4K was a thing, so everything media wise is the standard 1080p content.

Now maybe you can look around the forums and see if someone has created media in a 4K standard.

Or I'm just blowing smoke and not sure what I'm talking about, and all media should scale to 4K?

At 4K resolution, there's two things going on you'll need to contend with:

1) It's 16:9 aspect ratio, as opposed to the 4:3 aspect of most of the media created for HyperSpin. So, you would need to acquire 16:9 media, or resize 4:3 media so it displays correctly at 16:9. Otherwise, everything will look stretched horizontally.

2) HyperSpin does a pretty good job of resizing the media assets to suit the resolution you want, but it has limits. Basically, the higher the resolution you want, the worse things will look. For example, the regular 400px-wide wheel images definitely will look bad at 4k. So, you'd probably need to use wheels that are at least double that size, if not bigger.

4K can be done, and you'll find a big chunk of 16:9 media assets in the Downloads section you can use... there's just not as many as 4:3. Hope this helps!
