The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hello fellow HyperSpinners!

I'm currently working on a build that requires no transitions and no artwork scaling.

I have deleted the .flv transitions from the media>frontend folder.

I have also turned everything off in the "Optimizer Tab" of Hyper HQ except for Animated artworks to maintain the animations in my custom themes.

The next thing I am hoping to eliminate is the random effect applied to "artwork 1" (using HyperThemes terms)

Generally when navigating the Main Menu the artwork is:

A. Shooting up vertically

B. Zooming in

C. Zooming out

Is there anyway to have hyperSpin load the next theme without applying any transformations to the previous themes artwork?

I have looked into a fade transitions but in my case it is ideal for the next theme to immediately load with no transition or transformations to the artwork.

Many thanks!

No, there's no way to turn off the effect, I asked it directly to BBB. Only background layer is not affected. So, if you don't want stuff flying around when changing game/system you need to put everything on background layer.
Create Backgrounds folder in ..:\HyperSpin\Media\YOUR_SYSTEM\Images and put a background here for each system/game. Do not include background in the theme so HS will use the ones in this folder.

Alway check HS cpu usage while an emulator is running, especially if the theme is quite heavy, on some systems and some themes it is a problem but I got a workaround to fix it
