BiZzAr721
Sleek design. I like it. How's the stability?
kd5
Actually quite solid, as this thing is 82" tall and very heavy.
Halfaworldaway
What size screen will you get in there? 32"?
kd5
Yeah, 32" lcd
FatNasty
Loving the design, I may have to consider a 32" now.
Halfaworldaway
I think 32" has to be the bare minimum for me also, all down to space i'm afraid.
kd5
Made a little progress today. Metallic electric Blue and Black color scheme.
kd5
Not sure what to do for artwork with this design.
RetroBorg
Great looking cab, look forward to seeing the progress.
Halfaworldaway
Looking good, what is the prefered height for the control panel?
kd5
39" to the top is most comfortable for me and works great with a 30" barstool!
kd5
Test fitting the monitor and bezel, waiting on smoked glass to cover. Also stared working on the control panel. Still struggling with artwork ideas for this design, more modern looking then any I've I built before. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. rondar
This is looking really slick. Is the keyboard gonna be hidden/ have a pop open cover? That would be sweet. Some simple, bold colors and shapes could look nice for this design. Maybe just some wide-to-narrow stripes that follow the curve of the edges? kd5
Yes I am putting a removable keyboard cover panel on it. Right now i'm waiting on the glass bezel cover and trying to design some artwork so I can clear coat everything.
kd5
started clear coating and sanding and clear coating and sanding, you get the idea. trying to get high gloss on this baby, what a pain!! oh well i wouldn't be happy otherwise. Decided to keep design simple as this will be a new piece of furniture in my living room, wife wants it tame or it has to go to the garage. the garage in Florida is hot this time of year. kd5
Started painting and polishing, Cp top is so shiny you can see your own reflection. Decided to paint instead on plexi so I could could match the edge with metallic blue.
kd5
Well here is my 95% finished hyperspun cabinet, "Flashback 2". Finally got the tinted glass and printed the marquee. Got everything installed and operational. I'm very pleased with the outcome of this project, so are the kids, can't get em off it so I can play! HaHaHa. Just need to get new LEDs for the coin buttons and paint the aluminum marquee retainer black.

kd5
Koolbrez Send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. Wife is due soon so time will be at a premium. Thanks for all your hard work on the hyperspin project, your wheels and artwork are awesome. Just hope my cab does them justice.
Beaps
The only thing I would say is the angle of the screen just dont seem right. It would be OK if you were standing but it needs to be more vertical in my opinion.
kd5
The screen angle works fine standing or sitting. Even my 4 year old has no problems while sitting in a bar stool. It's actually the same angle as a vewlix machine.
RaiV3R
I'm really liking that glassy look. it has that Vewlix touch to it but you also made it your own with those curves. Looks futuristic!
jdjuggler
I've been considering many designs over the years and I like yours. I need a design that isn't very deep. Can you tell me the distance between the front of the control panel and the wall? Thanks, JD
