Hi, I'm having problems with dons hyperlist generator, for some reason it isn't finding any roms at all for any of my emulators, mame and n64, it shows that I have artwork and themes but no game, I've checked all folder paths in hyperhq and they are correct, everything to do on the hyperspin side of things works perfectly, just can't get past this list generator, any help please I really want to get rid of some of these games that I don't want

Thanks

Just thought I'd add an update here for anyone who might be having the same problem, I never did get dons list generator to work I have no idea what the problem was, I did find this though http://hyperspin-fe.com/oldsite/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=103&Itemid=115 it works perfectly, it's only for mame though, so I hope that helps you out if you were stuck like me

I'm having the same issue. Dons HyperList Generator finds artwork and videos but all games show as no. Everything loads fine through Hyperspin but I am trying to exclude titles I don't have. I went through and manually chose exclude/add to output for one system and the resulting XML works great. I just am dreading having to do that for all systems. I do have Hyperspin loaded on an external drive but so are dons hyperspin tools and i can see that it is directed to the right paths when looking for the roms. I also am new to this so I always have to check and re-check that I am using the tools correctly. From all the tutorials an forums it seems as though I am at this point. Any insight that could be added would be great. Thanks for the MAME tools information dzammit85

UPDATE: I was able to get Dons HyperList Generator to work by opening HyperHQ and manually making sure it had emulator/rom paths and extensions for each wheel. Now everything works great with Dons Tools!

Also having the same problem. Dons List Generator used to work perfectly fine for me, but now refuses to find my games.

Rom paths for the system have been set both in HyperHQ and HyperLaunchHQ, and I can perfectly audit all the games in there and they're all found.

I tried the above suggestion to make sure the emu/rom paths for all wheels were set in HyperHQ, but still no dice.

I have to add that as far as I know, the List Generator worked absolutely fine before I added a few custom wheels. I'd guess is that there is a bug in the application and that it's targeting the wrong wheel and thus looking in the wrong place for the roms, but the artwork is still detected, so that can't be the issue either. Very strange...

I've been having the same problem, but I've seem to have stumbled on a sequence that makes it work.

Step 1 Run HyperHQ

Step 2 Update the ROM path in HyperHQ for the system you want to update (by re-selecting the rom folder).

Step 3 Exit HyperHQ

Step 4 Run HyperLaunchHQ

Step 5 Select the system you want and audit the games (blue play button under the games tab). DO NOT EXIT HyperLaunchHQ.

Step 6 Run Dons hyperlist Selecting the system and xml file

Step 7 Done! I now have the game column correctly updated.

I've used these steps so far on Sega Game Gear, Sega x32, Sega Genisis, Sega Master System, NES and SNES roms and its worked.

I also had this problem. The posts above did not help.

What I found was that Filter Hyperlist did not recognise the | character as a rom extension separator (it apparently only recognises coma as a separator). So the solution for me was to change zip|7z to zip,7z in the rom extensions setting in HyperHQ.

Mmmm... I think it always have been comma separated in HyperHQ.

That is was one of the "differences" in the rom extension within the programs HyperLaunchHQ and HyperHQ....
