Genesis/Mega Drive roms not found

I have two sets of roms, MAME and Genesis/Mega Drive. The first works great. The second not. This is from the log:

02:13:11 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded

02:13:12 PM | Main Menu wheel loaded successfully

02:13:12 PM | Loading Sega Genesis.xml

02:13:12 PM | roms_only is true, checking files

02:13:12 PM | No roms found

In HyperHQ and in HyperlaunchHQ I have pointed to the right rom directory. In HyperlaunchHQ I can see all my roms. And even start them through Hyperlaunch. When I go into Hyperspin itself, it cannot find the roms and immidiatly returns to the root of the wheel. I have tried this with Fusion and Gens. Suggestions?

Do they work outside of hs? also my skip checks are set to false and it works just fine with fusion.

It sounds like you have something set incorrectly in HyperHQ.

Remove any check marks from the wheel filters.

Your suggestion did it. I've unchecked the parents only and roms only option and now it works. Thanks!

What bothers me is that I cannot use the rom only option. I do not want anything in my menu that I do not have.

Then you need to fill in the Rom path correctly then select the Roms only wheel filter. This will work with 1 Rom path, if you have 2 paths, the only way is to create an xml or have separate wheels for Genesis and Mega Drive.

Unless I am mistaken of course.

I've tried that. I have one rom path. And with either option parent only or rom only, both don't work.
