chadderack Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Hyperspin 1.5.1 RocketLauncher 1.2.0.1 MAME (uifx version .175) XPadder Windows 11 (Acer laptop) Playing in a MAME cabinet with XinMo button/joystick controllers. Hi. I successfully set everything up with MAMEUIFX .175 and RocketLauncher and HyperSpin and everything worked perfectly. For several days even. Then when launching gtfore06 (Golden Tee 2005 complete) I exited out of the emulator because sometimes it picks a really large bezel and the effective screen size of MAME is much smaller. I was just intending to re-launch the game, but it didn't work correctly. MAME did launch, but the screen never switched from the fade screen to MAME. I had to open the cabinet and hit the ALT+TAB key on the laptop (the brain of the cab) to get the screen switched to the MAME screen. And now every time I launch a game, it does this. I even rebooted the laptop and it acts the same. Also, before I was seeing the startup video for HyperSpin when it launched. Now, it just launches directly to the emulators wheel. No HyperSpin intro video. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I didn't see anything unusual in the logs. If I don't hit ALT+TAB, eventually the fade screen says something like "waiting for MAME.ahk screen to become active" and that it failed or something. I never updated any of the settings by hand. Looking at Task Manager in Windows, there are no orphaned processes (like HyperHQ or anything). How can I get RL to launch the games and switch to the MAME screen once the game roms unzip? Thanks Chad.
floatingyeti Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago It might be a resolution issue. Start by matching the resolution of MAME (.ini file) to your desktop resolution. See if the behavior changes when adjusting MAME or Laptop resolution.
