tk007b Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Hey, I'm new into retro Arcade gaming and have stumbled across this site. I can see there are several front ends to choose from (i am looking at a few) but I wanted to know where I could get a demo / trial version of HS to try out ? I have 2 x Sinden light guns and am making a DIY spinner for steering games. I already have a bunch of mame (0.279) games. Just trying to get a reliable solution. Any advice appreciated
jesfknkrys Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Hyperspin 1.5.1 is free to everyone. You can download it from the link below. https://hyperspin-fe.com/files/ Hyperspin 2.0 is in beta stage and is available to platinum members only at this time. 1

tk007b Posted Thursday at 10:02 PM Author Posted Thursday at 10:02 PM Thanks, this sounds promising. However, I've just followed your link and got this warning
tk007b Posted Friday at 08:54 PM Author Posted Friday at 08:54 PM ok, So seen messages about ignoring MS Defender warning. I've extracted the downloaded files into a HyperSpin folder. The HyperSpin.exe sadly does nothing (starts and then exits) .. what am I doing wrong ? Thank you
jesfknkrys Posted Friday at 09:38 PM Posted Friday at 09:38 PM Make sure you download the sxs.dll driver and save it to your root Hyperspin folder if you are on Windows 10 or above. Remove it if you're on Windows 7. If you are Windows 11, download to the latest build. Try downloading a fresh copy of Hyperspin as well, just in case the antivirus removed any Hyperspin files. 1
