I chose the 6 button gamepad and I have configured all of the buttons for player 1 and 2 but for some reason only a couple of buttons work when playing, for example Mortal Kombat II.

What am I doing wrong?

If memory serves, the 6 button pad on the Genesis wasn't available when MK2 was released. Maybe try the 32x version of MK2?

I had a genesis and MK2 and I remember using 6 buttons to play the game. When I play it using the kega fusion emulator it seems to only use 3 buttons.

Can anyone who has played a lot of genesis games with 6 buttons please tell me another game that uses 6 buttons and I will give that game a try and see what happens. I have setup fusion to use the 6 button game pad but to no avail.

You sure you aren't thinking of a later Mortal Kombat, like UMK3? Try Eternal Champions or Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition. Those were released with support for the 6-button pad.

MK2 was definitely at least 5 buttons (high punch, low punch, block, high kick, low kick)

I just don't recall that, and I played a hell of a lot of Mortal Kombat. I know for a fact that the other 2 games I mentioned were showcase games for the 6 button pad, so try those. If those don't work properly, it has to be your Kega Fusion configuration.

I just checked my cabinet. There's an option in-game for MK2 to enable 6 button support. From the main screen go to Options -> Extra Controls and set your ports to 6 button.

Eternal Champions and SF work out of the gate with the 6 button pad, so if you need to troubleshoot quickly those are 2 good games to test with.

Trying to get SG1000 mapped. Fusion only uses the 'A' and 'B' keys for the buttons no matter what I try to define...

I need it to map to 'E' and 'Z' instead because I am using an X-Arcade stick and the mapping of the buttons have to match all my other emulated systems...

Any help would be great.

I have the latest hyper apps and Fusion 3.64
