NullDC and hyperspin strangeness

Hi all,

This being my first post and being new to hyperspin please forgive me if this is in the incorrect area.

Like many I seem to be having issues with NullDC - the version I am using is NullDC 1.0.4 r150

At first I had issues with it loading in that I was left with a black screen with noise of the emulator behind.

Following another post I changed the resolution which fixed that issue.

Now my issue is when I select a game in hyperspin the emulator loads as does the correct game in full screen. Without doing anything, shortly into the loading my pc desktop shows up again and hyperspin sound ( ie the menu sound that I just selected the game) comes in.

At the moment I have to manually close hyperspin (to get rid of its audio) and using my mouse re-click the NullDc for it all to work.

I have not seen too many people with this issue.

I would like NullDC to work like the rest of the emulators that I have set up and dont have this issue. Does any one have any ideas....

.... Many thanks for your time in advance

PS at this stage I was not too certain what information you may need from my set up. Please advise

Thanks for the rapid reply GIGAPIG, and I am sorry about the delay. Today has really been the first day that I looked at this again. I had set up GIT and the hyperspin I was using had only recently been updated. Having looked at some of your videos - which are brilliant, ---- keep up this excellent work it certainly will help noobs like myself out!!!! And they certainly are easy to understand

I did see you had two set ups, one per hard drive. So I set it up similar with a new one on a different drive with fresh files from here and bingo on the new set up 100% fine. I must have done something wrong with updating my old one. How? I don't know but at least its sorted for the moment.

Thanks Gazman, I appreciate your comments.

I do have 2 setups, one for testing and the video guides and my main setup.

On my main setup, I've always had an issue with Demul crashing when stopping the emulation. I set it up fresh to do an Atomiswave/Naomi guide and it didn't do it on that install; so that has been copied across.

So it can make a difference just starting again with fresh installs, something I've also found With Taito Type X.
