Hello everyone, I would like your help. I'm using MESS for Atari Lynx, and I'm trying to use Bezels, so that it only calls the Horizontal, Vertical never calls, the game Raiden USA v3.0, getting Bezel Horozontal cutting parts of the game screen. I do not know what I'm doing wrong. Tried using mednafen and not changed anything, I think do not have to do with the emulator but something I missed. I am grateful for the help. I thank you.

Hello Geannf and welcome to the forums!

There is a thread and modified module along with an ahk program that is supposed to get the resolutions for all the games here:

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?31302-Adding-bezel-support-A-step-by-step-Walkthrough&p=302984&viewfull=1#post302984

I have yet to get it working correctly, so if anyone out there has, please advise.

Thanks,

Ron

Thanks for answering rfancella. Read the post and tried to use the module, most did not work, without success.

Right, and my resolutions.ini file all showed the same resolution for each game.

[A.P.B. - All Points Bulletin (USA, Europe)]
Resolution=146x73
[Awesome Golf (USA, Europe)]
Resolution=146x73
[basketbrawl (USA, Europe)]
Resolution=146x73
[batman Returns (USA, Europe)]
Resolution=146x73
[battle Wheels (USA, Europe)]
Resolution=146x73

Not sure what I did wrong...

Thanks,

Ron

geannf, please post a troubleshooting log so I could try to figure out what is happening on your setup.

rfancella, this is the result of the script that I made to create automatically the resolutions.ini files?

If yes, it is normal to have a lot of games with the same resolution, after all, most of the system had a standard development resolution. I also did not made exhaustive tests with that script as I had no rom sets to try it, so it could contain some bugs on it.

Anyway, if the script is not able to acquire the res info instantaneously for you, you would just need to edit the resolution ini key for having the correct value.

If the first value is lower than the second one (for example: Resolution=73x146), the module will assume that you are using a vertical oriented game.

thks for all the info rfancella.

I just tested on my end and it seams that everything is working fine.

Strangely, bezel is thinking that it has a horizontal game on your computer. It is probably something that I fixed some time ago on the bezel code, but that was not released yet.

Please wait untill we are able to release the next hyperlaunch version and then let me know if the problem persists.
