BiLbOBaggins
it looks like the HyperSpin Install Files v1.3.2.0.zip contain the latest and greatest : HyperSpin.exe 7.97 MB (8,365,315 bytes) created : Friday, April 19, 2013, 2:46:05 PM HyperHQ.exe 8.21 MB (8,618,507 bytes) created : Friday, April 19, 2013, 2:46:05 PM HyperTheme.exe 11.4 MB (12,045,448 bytes) created : Friday, April 19, 2013, 2:46:05 PM modified : Saturday, August 14, 2010, 12:02:44 PM so no reason to overwrite those, correct? Just rrying to make sure I have latest and greatest versions of HyperSpin, HyperHQ, HyperTheme and HyperSync Cloud. I realize HyperSync Cloud will auto update but before I set it up, the HyperSpin Install Files v1.3.2.0.zip should be the executables I start with? client.wyc 6.84 KB (7,006 bytes) created : Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 2:04:09 PM HyperSync Cloud.exe 5.63 MB (5,904,896 bytes) created : Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 2:04:09 PM wyUpdate.exe 434 KB (445,352 bytes) created : Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 2:04:09 PM The HyperSync Cloud.zip contains these executables (do I need to start with these instead?) : client.wyc 6.84 KB (7,005 bytes) created : Wednesday, July 31, 2013, 1:59:04 AM HyperSync Cloud.exe 16.0 MB (16,876,544 bytes) Wednesday, July 31, 2013, 2:01:40 AM wyUpdate.exe 430 KB (441,248 bytes) Saturday, March 03, 2012, 2:43:16 AM HyperLaunch and HyperLaunchHQ are less confusing because there is only place to start and then use the GIT to update from there. FYI : Using the awesome guide ghutch wrote over here for a reference : http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?29481-How-to-install-HyperSpin Just want to be sure I have it right. Thanks! BiLbOBaggins
Yes. Thanks albert c. I see I've sparked an exciting topic here. I think it would be beneficial to everyone to make sure they are using the correct executables for an optimal HS experience. I recommend using a hash check to verify the setup has the most recent EXEs : HyperSpin.exe MD5 : f9a175fefcabc582a763a6e6e4057408 HyperHQ.exe MD5 : 3e4d91616ee103b423d3a3afe298cacc HyperTheme.exe MD5 : 078ca343953d767b59e55bfde9ae07f7 HyperSync Cloud.exe MD5 : 33d0c136de59386479263bbf7faf158b HyperLaunch.exe MD5 : 59aae2bf7d29590afa898b69a384d44b HyperLaunchHQ.exe MD5 : ff3ea6aa07131684fc7bfa4ba77112b2 I don't mind maintaining a list like this if you guys think it will help out. Don't want to maintain an incorrect list so some sort of verification would be appreciated. Let me know.
albert_c
Nice gesture, but probably should save the effort. HyperSpin development is in a loooooong hiatus (quite possibly, may be dead altogether). Whatever version is downloaded from here is likely going to be the latest/last version (ever?). And as you said, HyperSync updates itself and if you install HyperLaunch as recommended from Git, you'll always have the latest one. But if HyperSpin development ever sparks back up, I can see the value.
