Hey all, is there a way to set a default png image in an artwork folder so that it shows up if a game dose not have any corresponding artwork? Example - I have disc based systems and am doing cd labels as artwork 3 in my theme so a game with corresponding artwork will show up as post-63443-142870646957_thumb.png. I have tried naming the image to Default but no luck. Is this possible or will I need to create copy's and name each one after games without artwork? Thanks for the help.

Example - I have disc based systems and am doing cd labels as artwork 3 in my theme so a game with corresponding artwork will show up as , but I want to set a single default image into the artwork folder that will show up in place of games for which I have no artwork such as . I have tried naming the image to Default but no luck. Is this possible or will I need to create copy's and name each one after games without artwork? Thanks for the help.

You are spot on there. The only way to do it is to have a file named the same as the rom name. Meaning, you have to have multiple copies of your default image and rename them to match the rom. The other option would be to put that image in your theme. And when there is a good disc image, it will display over the default. Just a thought.

Thanks,

Ron

Ok that's what I have done in the past just was not sure if there was an easier way. Thank you for the info and time.

You can write a quick batch script to copy that default disc image to files named off the rom or wheel name. This will give you all default images for your roms / wheels. Then copy them over to artwork 3 and skip any that are there. Done in a flash. Cheers.
