Problems moving Hyperspin to a new PC

Hello, I have a full blown setup off Hyperspin and MAME on a desktop Windows 7 PC that I want to move to a new PC in my arcade cabinet. After reading other posts this should be fairly simple in theory. All I did was install a fresh version of the same OS on my arcade game pc and copied my C:\Hyperspin directory from the source machine to the target creating the same directory but when I start HS on the new machine it shows it in the toolbar and shows running in Task Manager but the front end never shows up. If I goto HL and launch a ROM it seems to work fine so it seems that it is something with HS. I have tried this on 2 machines with the same result. Both are just basic Dell PC's nothing real special but Dual Core with lots of RAM. Just for kicks I did the same thing on another PC that was running a Virtualized instance of the same windows version and when I copy it there it all works perfectly which is making me think it is a driver issue of some sort but I don't see any obvious problems unless there is a specific HS requirement. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

I had that issue. I also have Dell machines and am using the Dell restore discs. Turns out that those restore discs don't have any of the necessary Windows 7 updates to get HyperSpin up and running. Best way to be sure is just to run Windows Update completely.

To be specific, when I was setting up my Dell PC, I think I just needed the latest of the following:

Microsoft .NET Framework

Visual C++ Runtime Redistributable

But running the full Windows update fixed a lot of other issues I could not solve to get everything in HyperSpin working.
