Need to force windows xp to set and hold resolution

Windows xp keeps breaking resolution as windows is loading... Any help???

What resolution do you need to keep it at? If you need to keep it at 640x480, you can hold F8 after the POST screen and select VGA mode.

Yes, I do need 640x480, but I don't want to have to keep a keyboard plugged in, the system is setup. But sometimes windows changes the Rez , and it brings it out of sync with the monitor .

I'm using an arcade vga card, and a wg k 7000 25" monitor

Plug the keyboard in and hold down F8 after the post screen. Select VGA mode. You will only have to do it the one time. After that, it should boot to 640x480 everytime.
