justintime
I come from GameLauncher, I know, old school. I think HS needs audible feedback when the player 'launches' the game/rom. I really only want ONE sound file for any game launch, mind you. I couldn't find a way to do it today without scripting etc.
blur
what's wrong with scripting? you put it in ahk and voila
justintime
OK, I will give it a try...wcripting always give me the impression I am hacking my way into things, and at the expense of performance/reliability... I used to have GameLauncher all scripted with AutoIT scripts, and it became a real mess, unmanageable, and unreliable. Is AHK the gold standard for HS? Or is AutoIT also a possibility? djvj
Scripts are not messy at all if you write them cleanly and put comments so you remember what's going on if you have to go back and edit things. Yoou can use whatever language you want to launch your games, but HL is provided for you in ahk. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
BadBoyBill
You are not losing any performance or reliablility by scripting it in, HL is tried and tested. But a valid request, I can add it to 2.0.
cole
Hi there, This is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for. Just wondering if anyone has managed to get a script put together for this that they would like to share? Unfortunately, I'm terrible with coding so thought I'd turn to you kind folk for some help...
