[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 well i got this cabinet built by this guy he came to my house and he built it.. it was working find when u play one player but when u play 2players it keeps beeping and freezing and beeping making it impossible to play , i called the guy that built this for me but he said he has no idea what to do , now he won't even answer calls.. i have a arcade guy that said my problem is my ram , and another guy saying it is my processor,, but both of them guys never had a cabinet with hyper spin , so if there is some one out there with a solution please guide me ,,,
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 he put hs not me he came and set up the whole cabinet, at first he said freezing issue was my video card so i went to fry and got a new one and that did not solve issue
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 lenovo motherboard core 2 duo e8400 3.0ghz 2gb ram video card is a asus gt640-2gd3
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 yeah the guy is no where to be found i went to his house n he is no longer there so now I'm stuck with this cabinet i figured out how to map controls and i figured out how to play a lot of games by searching through the treads , but this thanksgiving i had some friends over and we could not play 2 players i was really bummed out about that
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 yes the computer was a buddy of mines he is a tech at qualcom , so he gave me this pc the controls are custom happy controls i had to order this pcbs or cpm controller for the pc to be able to recognize buttons .. man if u can help me out i would be willing to pay.. i need some one that knows how to work these cabinets , i want to buy light guns and be able to play all games but now I'm in the dark,, me and my son just play 1 player at a time it really is a bummer
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 no there are no issues the same game will play fine it only happens when 2 players are pressing buttons to many times it sound like when you press keyboard to make times n it just freezes and beep when i let controllers go and no one presses it will eventually go back to normal.. i pm you my number did u get it ??
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 no i have no idea which one i have , this guy that set up my cabinet said my processor was to slow so I'm suppose to go buy a motherboard and cpu this monday but he has no idea what he is doing,, so i don't want to buy stiff and problem still happens .. I'm just going to wait for you to come by and see it before i buy anything
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 i don't want to upgrade if i don't have to i would rather spend the money to fix the problem because if i upgrade and i still have the problem .. i would rather use that cash to figure out my machine right now all i really use is mame but it has almost every console out there with 1000s of games
[email protected] Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 some consoles are not working prop[erly.. like the pinball one it is really slow
eezetee Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Do the games work in MAME? THat's a pretty good starting point? I may have missed it, but what is the control board? IPAC? Any pictures?
aliens8us Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Remember that Hyperspin is a glorified GUI frontend. The 2 pinball, Dreamcast, Naomi, PS2, graphic intense 'boards' will slow the CPU down. Oddly enough, the Virtual Pinball works fine outside of the Hyperspin! I'm running Windows XP and Hyperspin works fine. 2 - player is fine. It's gotta be the Hyperlaunch settings.
Gothicplsur Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Do you have an adequate air flow, sounds like a heat issue, if your motherboard is making the beeps and freezing, either your cpu is working overtime when you add a second player or your ram is insufficient but airflow is a major factor. In my standup arcade I have 2 120mm fans on each side of the cab and a 200mm "exhaust" fan on the back and it's nice and chilly inside... probably should start there with heat/fan issues.
