This might be the kind of thing that would have to be special cased. I don't know where to download this hack, otherwise I'd help you get it going through Hyperspin because it looks INCREDIBLE.

New:

+ Six cars in race.

+ 140 new tracks, 12 of them available only in NewGame mode.

+ Added new chars and boss select. New chars bonuses +armor +weapon.

+ Six new planets. Last allowed at new.game mode on difficulty Veteran or higher.

+ Five new cars and many new weapon.

+ Many new types of upgrades for cars.

+ New music (Spiderman & Venom - Maximum Carnage port).

+ Extra larry sounds (same as SNES).

+ Many new colors for cars.

+ New object (power-up) on track - weaponpack.

+ Duel mode - player 1 vs player 2 without AI's.

+ Mode 1Player+AI - cooperative new.game with allied AI.

Special features:

+ Network play possible with fullscreens for each player.

+ Network play possible for 3 players.

+ English + Russian + Portuguese without patches.

+ You can play with AudioCD (aka Sega-cd mode1).

+ At game endings you will watch you real race replays.

AI:

+ Fully new. Four difficulty levels.

+ Aimed shoot at all directions with allies check.

+ More good using of mines, oil, nitro e.t.c.

+ Can use jumps to avoid damage.

+ Can turn back and shoot.

+ Tries to move across mines and 'backward arrows'.

+ True direction after crossed-jumps.

Fixes/enhancements:

+ Increased color count. Many things closier to Snes version.

+ Code optimization - runs smoothly (original slighlty slowdown when

was many particles and scrolling)

+ 'Up' button works as mode, for support devices without it.

Bugs that appears after ported from Snes:

+ Fixed bug with incorrect Nitro, now same as SNES.

+ Fixed bug with Bogmire background.

+ Fixed missiles/bullets heights.

+ Fixed cars fragments explosion (when appears).

+ Corrected blue car pal(no more affects global red palette);

red and yellow car palette closier to Snes version.

+ Fixed chars planets palettes into char menu selection.

+ More good control - smooth turning 'with all angles' - same as in SNES version.

(can be switched back to Smd control).

Others:

+ No more bug with moving background at very high speed.

+ Some new types of planet obtacles.

+ Attack bonuses and death counters.

+ You can disable/enable jumps from pressing 'BB'.

+ Into vs.mode swaps divisions A/B for each next race.

+ Fixed game freeze at very large number of objects (mines/oil..)

+ Max money stored in password is 999.000. No more money loosing after overflow.

+ All avatars turned in one direction.

Balance:

+ Cars start position randomized, but p1 and p2 is near.

+ When your car respawn, it gains some undamage time.

+ Havac sundog's - damage doubled if not auto-aimed phase yet.

+ New.game mode - shared scores.

+ Rewards for 1-6 places - 13/10/7/4/1/0.

+ Slightly reduced base shocks of airblade, battle trak, havac; more smooth addition of turning when upgrade tires

+ For going behind now also added some turning, not only +top speed.

+ Slightly more start money.

+ Changed cars upgrades cost. Marauder/dirt devil have more cheap upgrades. High-level and cars with

low upgrades count have greater cost of upgrades.

+ Oil (spikes) - now disappers when moving over them.

+ K.os.skatterpack - on 1 spack less at disclosing.

+ Attack bonus now also gives for crashing!
