jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Ive been trying to set up the Super Acan, in hyperlaunch hq, I don't get any options under default emulator, and the MESS module won't show when I set the default emulator to MESS. Anyone know why this is? Thanks
zerojay Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 You probably haven't set up MESS as a global emulator yet. The module - both the beta and the previous ones - had the Super Acan in it. Make sure your system name matches the one in the module as well.
jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I have MESS working with other systems so must be the name is not matching, how do I go about getting the name to match correctly? Thanks
jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 maybe the games are not launching because i don't have the superacan bios for MESS, the module not showing up in hyperhq wouldn't stop the games from launching would it?
zerojay Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 maybe the games are not launching because i don't have the superacan bios for MESS, the module not showing up in hyperhq wouldn't stop the games from launching would it? I don't think it has a BIOS, actually.
jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I bet you named it "Super Acan" didn't you? It should be named "Funtech Super Acan" Ive named it Funtech Super A'can, how can I change the name? so I need to simply rename the media folders? or do I need to delete the system in hyper hq and start again?
jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 changed it and im getting the module showing up in hyperhq now, but games won't launch, it does say in the mess module notes that it needs a bios.
jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 0.154, checked other systems in MESS, and none of them are working now, seems its a problem with MESS. pretty sure it was working before.
jedfactor Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 going to download it now, think something else is up though, as none of my mess systems are launching in hyperlaunch got an error message about error: call to non existent function, specifically set key delay 50.
zerojay Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 going to download it now, think something else is up though, as none of my mess systems are launching in hyperlaunch got an error message about error: call to non existent function, specifically set key delay 50. Are you using all the updated modules from the latest HyperLaunch?
jedfactor Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Pretty sure I am used the module updater yesterday. Can I re download the MESS module from anywhere? think I must have done something to it by accident.
zerojay Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 If you haven't already updated to the latest HyperLaunch beta, you cannot use the module updater. You must update from GIT. That is also how you would get an updated/redownloaded MESS module.
jedfactor Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 I think I have done this already, I have the module updater working
jedfactor Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 OMG just updated hyperlaunch via git, and now everything from hyperhq has dissapeared....help.
zerojay Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Read the HyperLaunch Beta installation instructions for everything you need to do.
jedfactor Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Thanks, nearly had a panic attack then. Mess is still not working, it seems it is trying to launch MAME insted for some reason I dont understand, and now MAME isn't launching as it is saying that cheats are enabled but I don't have the zip file. what the hell.
jedfactor Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Got MAME working ok now, its strange with MESS though, some systems work, and some don't. But I have no idea why the ones that don't work aren't working as they are set up the same. I get an ahk error related to MAME, very strange.
