need help!! mednfen waiting for window ahk_sdl_app [Solved]

i got mednfen working outside of hyperspin but when i try to launch the games in hyperlaunch hq the mednfen ahk opens and then i get error waiting for window ahk sdl app please check to see if you have the correct emulator

i dont remember how to get to the error log file thats why i didnt send it.

any help is greatly appreciated

Wrong log I'm afraid, we need the HyperLaunch log and please include the code tags at the beginning and end.

Depending on the system, have you tried RetroArch which uses the Mednafen core.

I remember someone saying that those types of errors usually mean you are using the wrong version of the emulator. I had that same error for a long time, once I got the correct version of mednafen (which it looks like is v.09.31 WIP) it worked for me.

sorry about that gigapig im a little retarded with this hyperspin thing ive been winging it. .... i tried a different mednafen and got it to work, this was last night today i tried again and its giving me the same error heres the log

You named something wrong, or you're trying to use it for a system that isn't supported. What system are you trying to launch and how did you name it exactly? The version of the emulator usually doesn't matter all that much on MOST emulators.

its mednafen ... trying to play tg16 cd. and it worked in hyperlaunch last night but for some reason stopped. i have the emulator named mednafen.exe

Someone more knowledgeable than me should step in. I'm not sure if Mednafen supports launching cue files.... or if you should try to launch the bin/iso directly.

Check this thread: Seems like a lot of variables here, mounting, 7z etc. You may want to take "cue" out of your emulator extensions and try launching directly. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?34719-MEDNAFEN-TurboGrafx-CD-Applying-IPS-file

thats just it last night i had everything the same i didnt edit anything or add/delete/change anything. i dont know what happened.

Try unzipping the game, and launching without the cue file to see if it works. You have to either remove the cue file from the directory, or remove the cue extension from your global/emulators/mednafen list in HQ.

I've just set up Mednafen for the first time, it's setup was minimal, at least just to get it running. All I did was put the syscard3 bios in the firmware folder, that's all.

With DT Lite enable the cue sheet was loaded into DT Lite no problem, but the game also started with DT Lite set to false.

I would check your game images, mine are cue and iso, maybe yours are different?

my files are cue and iso and last night it was put the folder in, link the folders in hyperlaunch hq and it worked. i dont know what i could have done this is crazy ... which mednafen are you using gigapig?

I really remember having the exact same problem you had ublasfu, it worked one night for me and the next it was erroring out. Having the BIOS is a good start, I can confirm mednafen runs cue files cuz I have several systems working with cue's. I would try to get that version of mednafen honestly, if it doesn't work then we can always keep looking for other alternatives.

i actually cant find the version listed in the module

i have the bios file its not helping lol i dont know whats going on i just uninstalled my entire hyperspin and tried this system by itself and i cant get it to work in or outside of hyperspin now

I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!! i renamed all my roms to match the xml and inside the cue file it says the original name so i have to rename all the cues... THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!
