stillcore Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I'm getting a parameter issue while trying to launch Dolphin through Hyperspin (not hyperlaunch). Does anyone know how to resolve this? Seems like I need to enter a parameter in HyperHQ or something. Thanks!

stillcore Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 It shows this when I select a game from the wheel I keep getting thish dolphin message. usage: dolphin [/h][/d][/l][/e<str>][/b][/v<str>][/a<str>] /h--help show this help message /d--debugger opens the debugger /l,--logger opens the logger /e,--exec=<str> loads the specified file (DOL,ELF,GCM,ISO,WAD) /b,--batch exit dolphin with emulator /v,--video_backend=<str> specify a video backend /a,--audio_emulation=<str> low level (lle) or high level (hle) audio unexpected parameter (shows the path to where my iso's are)
Guest Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 It looks like you haven't setup the settings in HS to properly load a game with dolphin. Check the wheel settings for GameCube in HyperHQ. Also, you may consider using HyperLaunch to actually launch the games. You can set this up so HyperLaunch will launch the games when they are selected in HyperSpin. HyperLaunch has more sophisticated scripts which launch the games.
stillcore Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Yeah, I've been going through it and can't seem to figure it out. As for hyper launch, I'd need an ahk because I'm using hyperlaunch1 on this build. I know, I know. I should upgrade. Haha
Guest Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Any ideas? Post a screenshot of the HyperHQ settings screen for your GameCube wheel. The tab where you setup emulator and rom path etc. And yeah, you won't have these problems if you upgrade you HL.
DrMaxwell Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Dude, just grab the Hyperlaunch from GIT. once you have that then upgrades are so easy. You need to screen capture your HyperHQ path settings for anyone to be able to help you manage. Need more information than what's up top. I can help you with version 1.0 but upgrading is the way to go How to guides and custom artwork sets @ https://www.youtube.com/user/MaxwellParadigm Themes, Wheels, Carts and Database Downloads available @ http://spacevalkyrie.weebly.com/
stillcore Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Here's the screen of both... And, I'm sorry - GIT? I haven't used Hyperspin for about 5 years and am getting back into it again, Didn't wanna have to update if I have everything else working as-is, you know?
Fromlostdays Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yeah, I could have helped you years ago but I've almost forgotten the old module system. Besides, everything doesn't all work. The new modules are lightyears ahead. Here, I'm a complete computer illiterate and with this guide it took me less than ten minutes to update. https://sites.google.com/site/hyperlaunch2/home/downloads Also... HyperlaunchHQ... wait till you see it. Oh, and you have the "execution" set to normal instead of Hyperlaunch.... so you're not even using the Dolphin module. Change it to Hyperlaunch, also... update. stillcore Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Will updating interfere with the few emulators I have working through hyperlaunch? Was a pain in the ass to get 3do, playstation, etc... Working with finding the correct scripts and compiling them.
Fromlostdays Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 You compile nothing. EVERYTHING you need on the backend side including modules is included in RocketLauncher, and you can use your old emulators. However, Retroarch is playing both of those systems pretty amazingly at this point. Again, the ahk scripts are now included in the new release. There's something like 120 emulator modules that come stock, and see pretty regular updates. The most difficult part for you is going to be just understanding the new layout. I'll walk you through a setup if you want. Also, making wheels with multi emu support, fades, bezels, skip checks, they are all a snap now. Walter:beerglass:
stillcore Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Definitely sounds like it'll be in my best interest to upgrade. I do like toying with the old system, though. I feel accomplished when I get a system to work after putting in some serious time. Lol
rexryan Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 it's almost a plug and play setup if follow the module notes..
stillcore Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 I'll definitely give it a go in my free time. I'm sure I'll be on here asking questions. Thanks for all the feedback and info. Also, if anyone does have the script for GameCube in hyperlaunch1 let me know. Probably won't feel satisfied until I've figured it out. Stuff like that will eat at me if I don't solve it.
stillcore Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Before I start, think it's best if I do a complete new install? Meaning download Hyperspin/(Hyperlaunch3) again and basically start from scratch... shouldn't be too much more effort being I have all of the necessary files I already need..... well, hopefully ha ha
