Charles4400 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Does anyone know the param line to turn off HLSL for a particular rom? I finally got HLSL working in mame (Yeah!) But HLSL does not work with the .chd games that I have checked (cubequest). The problem is that through HyperlaunchHQ HLSL seems to be an all or nothing type deal as HLHQ ignores whatever is in the ini folders. I see that you can add specific roms in HLHQ to run specific Params to that indvidual rom (Modules>Mame.ahk>Rom Settings>Params). Does anyone know what the correct Param line would be to turn off HLSL for that particual rom? How is everyone running .chd games and HLSL on other games? Thanks! -Charles
Guest Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Have you tried using the menu triggered by tab when in game? I believe those settings are saved per game. Not sure if HLSL setting is in there.
Charles4400 Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Tried that, but no HLSL settings there.
Charles4400 Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 "-HLSL_disable" does not work either on the param line.
gigapig Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 The new HyperLaunch beta supports per game HLSL settings.
Charles4400 Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Thanks for the heads up, at least the feature is being worked on...woohoo! Wish there was something that could be done before its release though, what was everyone doing about those .chd games who ere using HLSL, just not playing them? Or just playing them out of hyperspin & hyperlaunch...
gigapig Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 You can use it now but you would need to upgrade to the beta.
Charles4400 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Can't wait for the final version to come out, would rather not install the beta on my main cabinet as things are really coming together on it and I would hate to see it crash from beta bugs. But just glad they finally implemented the feature!
