vampirolatino2 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hi everyone! I'm having the weirdest problem to date in my years of using Hyperspin, Hyperlaunch, HyperlaunchHQ, etc. I think it started when I finally installed a Wireless Xbox 360 receiver I got like 2 years ago... don't judge me lol Well, I was trying to configure Commodore Amiga, CD32, with FS-AUE and WinAUE, WinAUELauncher too.. but here is the problem I'm having. When I start now the PC (Arcade), it launch Hyperspin, I can use my Control Panel buttons to navigate (up and down), enter any game wheel, everything seems to work ok but when I want to start any game of any wheel it doesn't launch the game/emulator. I could hit that ENTER button all I want and i stay in the game wheel all day, without launching / starting the emulation. It works directly in Hyperlaunch, or selecting the game from the list in HyperlauchHQ and hitting the Hyperlauch button (the rocket). So..... what happen here?! I have updated HL thinking it wold fix anything, but alas. Can't use my Arcade Machine now via the menus, sad, very sad. Here is an example log of Hyperspin selecting The Simpsons from MAME: 01:52:03 PM | HyperSpin Started 01:52:03 PM | Going FullScreen 01:52:03 PM | Checking for updates 01:52:03 PM | Update Check Complete 01:52:03 PM | Startup program unavailable 01:52:03 PM | Playing intro video 01:52:04 PM | Error intializing joysticks 01:52:04 PM | Menu Mode is multi 01:52:04 PM | Loading Main Menu.xml 01:52:04 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 01:52:05 PM | Main Menu wheel loaded successfully 01:52:07 PM | Loading MAME.xml 01:52:07 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 01:52:07 PM | MAME wheel loaded successfully 01:52:09 PM | Launching Game 01:52:09 PM | Using HyperLaunch 01:52:09 PM | Getting HyperLaunch path 01:52:09 PM | HyperLaunch located at D:\HyperLaunch\HyperLaunch.exe 01:52:09 PM | Running HyperLaunch.exe 01:52:09 PM | HyperLaunch Command Line is: D:\HyperLaunch\HyperLaunch.exe "MAME" "simpsons" 01:52:13 PM | Loading Main Menu.xml 01:52:13 PM | Main Menu.xml successfully loaded 01:52:13 PM | Main Menu wheel loaded successfully 01:52:14 PM | Exit program unavailable 01:52:14 PM | Quiting Hyperspin 01:52:14 PM | Bye!
Turranius Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Have you possibly enabled any control other then keyboard in Hyperspin? Don't do that. Only keyboard can be enabled or it bugs. vampirolatino2 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Where do I check that? I haven't activated anything, just in the emulators like PSX, PS2, Gamecube, N64 and Dreamcast. Could it be enabled by default/automatic?
vampirolatino2 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Ok, ... I think there is a ghost in my machine, because I tried right now and everything is working ok. The only thing I did and check and still didn't work before I wrote this thread was that I updated Hyperlaunch and hit the reset default settings and the fix .inis new button. But now ir working, its a miracle!!! lol Oh well ... this is hyperspin anyways, were weird shit happens. Thanks for helping!! see ya all after another broken setup lol
vampirolatino2 Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Probably had the hyperlaunch process still running even though there was no window open for it. Happens every so often and nothing will launch from HS when it is like that. Yes, I hate when that happen, but it wasn't that, with all these years I think I know when that crap happen. But I think I found what it was.... I always had the databse of the systems outside in the root drive with hyperspin.exe, autohotkey and the other stuff. Now with the new version of hyperlaunch the program looks at a new destination of that folder, inside hyperlaunchhq .... iirc, and instead of main menu.xml it looks at a folder called systems.xml, outside in database folder with all other game systems folders and xmls. I copy the content and created a systems.xml with the information of main menu.xml and it resolved the issue 100% My system is running in windows 8.1 btw.
