Game selection delay

Hey guys

I've been enjoying my arcade machine for a couple of years now and have decided to finally investigate a problem I've had since day 1 and that is a delay of about 2 to 5 seconds delay after pressing on the game i have selected before the loading screen starts. I use HLHQ with with one system (MAME) with all themes and vids working and have researched others posts to find no answer. Any input would appreciated.

probably just the time it takes your system to run the stuff to start the loading process

Yes It could be that but the now loading splash screen should pop up instantly? Its not a big problem just a pride thing when showing off to friends!

Mmmmm.... I know that when I turn on the Arcade and wait like 5 seconds to be in the menu (yes Windows 8.1 is fast as hell), the first time I run something, for example, mame, it will take 3 to 6 seconds to load), then it is INSTANT. Just the first time.

Try to get it more light using the OPTIMIZER tab in HyperHQ. See if this helps, just to test.

I know it should be instant, when you run a game with HyperLaunch (in HyperLaunchHQ), it is instant, so the modules run faster.... is something else, like between HyperSpin and HyperLaunch.

Meh, I don't know for sure.
