I have just added a pc game to my HS setup, it was Resident Evil HD.

I used the gigaguides tutorial, everything was going well until I load the game.

The game launches through HL via the rocket tab, HS starts , game loading screen then the error appears ahk_pid 13244, but the game is running in the background....

Does anyone know how to fix this error?

I am trying my hardest to learn all this, getting there slowly, the tutorials are great btw.

Just the odd error I get

thanks in advance

ye its the same with a few games I am adding to PC games folder...btw when I exit my emulator on ones that are working, the system 32 cmd.exe wont end, and I get the black screen...in my HHQ setting I have set exit method: process close app

But it still doesn't exit to HS, I need to cnt-alt-delete and close CMD.exe first

does that happen to you? in games that do run?

You could try setting a fadetitle in the PC launcher module. Go to edit general settings for your PC Launcher module in HLHQ, and then find your game. One of the options on the bottom is for fadetitle. It will explain how to set one (it involves pressing Ctrl+Q once inside the game)

Is this the new HD version or the Resident evil release from a few years ago? I have the new HD version but I don't have that issue. Your game should point to \Resident Evil 4\Bin32\bio4.exe. It should start perfectly fine. Nothing else is required.

I had something similar to what you described with Dragon Age Origins. That is because you need to load the game with one exe which in turn starts another exe. I had to add the second exe to "Appwait" in the module settings.

This however doesn't apply to Resident Evil 4 HD.

By the way, what do you mean by closing your emulator on PC games? You can't do that. You have tho exit PC games the normal way you would outside hyperspin. PC games are not emulated so there's no emulator to exit. If that's what you are doing you are asking for trouble. I also recommend you disable hyperpause for PC games.

Also, turn off your anti-virus when playing this game or it will crash in the swamp level.
