snarfo Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I don't see anyone else here with this particular weirdness in Fusion though I have seen posts on other forums... but no good solutions. I bought a USB 6-button Sega gamepad knockoff to use for Sega games but none of the inputs are recognized by Fusion. It works just fine in Windows, goes through the calibration just fine, etc., but when I try to map the buttons there is no response in Fusion at all. In fact, it won't even respond to my wireless 360 pad inputs which is my default gaming device. I should note that I also have a Mayflash Dolphinbar as well as a 4-port Mayflash GameCube adapter and a 2-port Mayflash N64 adapter (so I can use the real controllers with the corresponding emulators). Everything is working perfectly in the Nintendo side of the world (using the 360 pad for NES/SNES/Gameboy emulators) so I decided to tackle Sega next but I'm stymied at this point. Fusion's list of controllers to choose from is a little odd-looking in that it shows 7 devices, but there are gaps in the numbering. I would ideally like this to work without resorting to XPadder (assuming Fusion will accept keystrokes), but if I'm missing an easy fix I thought some of the bright folks on here would have a simple answer. gigapig Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Is it a windows 8 thing? I'm not getting the same results. I've got the Dolphin bar plugged in and the 360 controller on and fusion detects it and I can map the keys. Even if I set Bluetooth HID device as the preferred device, it still works. I only have 3 choices in fusion, Keyboard, Mouse and 360.
snarfo Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 Hm, thanks for the feedback. Not sure if it's a Windows 8 compatibility issue (I did try running Fusion in various compatibility modes with no success) or not, and I don't have any older systems to test it out on. I ended up trying out Mednafen which worked perfectly. One of these days I suppose I should really try out RetroArch and simplify things a bit!
