zwaene Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hello everyone, I'm just new on here and I wanna build my own cabinet. I just don't really know whate to pick for the PC's hardware... Ive seen people talk about building cabinets on really old hardware, while others say you need newer hardware for running newer games. I want to be able to play arcade games on this device and maybe later the newer systems/games. If some people could share their specs with me and how they experience the games/menu smoothness, that would help me already! Of course any other tips are welcome as well, because this will be my first build:) Thanks in advance
nimpa Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Rocket science -? The newer system u want to emulate - the better spec yah computah is needed There is really a nice thing u can do.. Go to google .. Search "emulator name requirement" without "" and u Will get the answer .. Heh ..

As informative as that post was, I feel it would be a shame to waste a Google search, when we have a brand new shiny forum, full of people What kind of systems were you looking to emulate on your system zwaene? I am still gathering parts for my build, so I wont be much help. I did a quick search and this thread may give you a good starting point. This thread is an older one but some of the info is still relevant. Check out my MAME Arcade classics themes!

Woow, I was thinking of building my first one only for arcade games, so I just grabbed some parts laying around. It's a core2 duo with 2 gigs of ram... I will probably never emulate the newer consoles. However I was planning to build this in a way i could easily pop in a new pc if i require more power.
nimpa Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Google search takes 10 seconds and gives informative info straight from the developer of the emulators, instead of w8ing on a answer here Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
