legolas119 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Hi guys, I have some questions, can you help me please? 1) in HyperHQ, in the NAVIGIATION/THEMS section, if I check Roms only and/or wheels only in order to visualize only the emulator that I have configured with the roms, when I select the system (Nintendo NES) Hyperspin immediately crashes. Why? How can I visualize in my system wheels only the emulator that I have currently configured? 2)How can I configure in HyperLaunch, the FADE GENERAL tab? can you post your configuration please? And why a FADE sometimes has Layer1, Layer2 , ExtraLayer 3 files and other times it has other files named in diffrent way? thank you
legolas119 Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 1) Ah ok, I aw in some guides that it is not necessary to set up rompath in HyperHQ if you have already configured it in HyerLaunchHQ...but you are right Well, I configured the Rompath of my emulator (Nintendo Nes) in the Emulator tab in HyperHQ. But where can i configure the paths for the wheels? I don't find it in hyperHQ... Now, if I check ROMS ONLY in the WHEELS filter, when I push ENTER in my NES emulator, I'm not able to enter in the wheel of my roms...So I have to unckeck (as default) the ROM ONLY options...why? thank you
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Ok, lets get some things a bit more clear..... Hyperlauncher Actually runs the games. Its like the Engine that runs all the emulators and games. HyperHQ is basically Hyperspin. This is the bit that YOU see. They both have to be configured correctly but both for very dif reasons. I think that HyperLaunchHQ is obvius why you set that up as you have to get the games to run. The reason we set up HyperHQ is so that we can sor the games we have running So.... HyperHQ. If you leave the rom path and the extensions field blank then yes you can load the wheels. BUT it will load EVERY game you have on your database. So for those guides you have been looking at, thats most prob due to the fact its for a system which the have EVERY game. So they do not need to worry about it as they are all displayed anyways But Im sure you will not have EVERY GAME for EVERY SYSTEM. So we have to tell HyperHQ where the games are and what type of files they are so it can search for the and compare them to your database. Then if you click ROMS ONLY it will show only the games YOU have. If you leave it blank or miss the extensions how does it know which games to show you?? Thats why it does not work. If you fill in the Rom path and its still not working... you either have the wrong file extensions OR you have not put any in. Simply Austin's YouTube
legolas119 Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 yeah, the extension was missing, thanks! So, in this way I can have a complete .xml database file even if I don't want to downlaod EVERY roms for an emulator. In my case, I already have my own database file, which contains ONLY the roms I need, so in this case I can avoid to configure and check the box of ROMS ONLY and WHEELS ONLy in HYperHQ. Currently I have only one emulator configured (I will add step by step other emulator) but I see all the defaul emulator in Hyperspin wheel: so, is it possible to show ONLY the emulator I have configured (or with roms)? Currently by default there are about 20 emulators in the wheel of Hyperspin thank you Austin
