eezetee Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Hi All, I'm nearing completion of a bartop Hyperspin (Primary function) alongside Jriver and a few other apps. I'd like to make a certain keyboard sequence exit the emulator (if any) and close Hyperspin. The reason is I may use a remote with a button to launch a script. The likely sitatuion is I'm playing a quick game of NBA JAM and it's time for dinner and I need to Skype a family memory oversears. I'd like to push a single button, have it close Hyperspin and launch the other program. The launch I can do, how to gracefully close the emu's and Hyperspin. Is Taskkill /IM the answer? Tried that and got a Hyperspin stopped responding error
eezetee Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Thanks marxkemp. So I'd end up mapping say the green button on a remote to "AHK 1" and AHK 1 will close hyperspin and launch skype? Something like that? Trying to make this easy for the wife. I have no concerns about breaking out the keyboard. She does. This is what I was looking at http://www.howtogeek.com/56481/the-beginners-guide-to-using-an-autohotkey-script/
marxkemp Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Im doing the same by launching hyperspin from xbmc/kodi mediaplayer and vice versa
eezetee Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Are you using AHK to do it?I'm thinking of a simple Windows macro utility that just hits ESC a bunch of times, then launches "program X" from the desktop. Would be simpler right? The only unknown is if an emulator will be open at the time (not me, my house guests)
