List of Cabinet Compatible Systems

Hi Guys,

I've been searching and unable to find a comprehensive list of systems that can be setup/controls mapped to work with an arcade control panel / with XBOX controller.

The goal here is the truly functional systems -- for example, some games can be setup on MS-DOS (same for ScummVM), but both are only truly functional when played with a keyboard.

Here's my list of systems I have working. Hoping others can add to it:

Hi imagamejunky,

The goal is to come up with a list that are compatible with both, really. First priority is cabinet. Second priority is XBOX 360. For example, I wouldn't exclude PS1, PS2 etc from the list, even though there aren't usually enough buttons on the cabinet for the L / R shoulder buttons. I would exclude the Apple II though, because that really requires a true keyboard/mouse.

Make sense?

Got it. My opinions..

A lot of cabinets DO have enough buttons for ps1/2, etc. I'm running 8 myself. But most console games I'm finding that are easily playable on a cab don't really use more than 4 main buttons anyway. Your system list may be tough to label/interpret as there are a ton of games on any given system that play nicely with arcade buttons and a ton that play better with a controller. Furthermore, you may need to take into consideration digital vs analog joysticks in the cab control panel.

Example, Yesterday my son was easily playing crash racing on PSP/retroarch with digital arcade controls. But you wouldn't easily play PSP first person shooters without a controller with analogs.

Hope this makes sense.

Junky
