matabhaine Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 When I run AAE from its folder it just says closing and won't run. When I run from Hyperspin I get the error Your module does not contain a startmodule() line. Please download a module that has one. I downloaded a module but AAE does not appear in the emulators section, just MAME and RA. AAE seems to have vanished.
warpig Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I have AAE set up as a system on my main menu wheel but just set the default emulator to be MAME and everything works fine
rfancella Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 HI, I have AAE running just fine on both my setups. But we would need a little more info. What version of HyperLaunch(RocketLauncher) are you using? What version of the emulator and with which updates? Thanks, Ron When I run AAE from its folder it just says closing and won't run. matabhaine Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 The have the latest AAE from here http://pages.suddenlink.net/aae/ I cannot run AAE.exe, it just crashes and stops so I cannot find out what which version it is from within the program. I tried running it through MAME but it just goes to the populated MAME wheel instead of starting AAE running. I have the all the latest HL and HS pulled through Git four days ago. I have win 7 64bit.
rfancella Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Ok, So AAE will not run by its self? On the AAE site there are three downloads: AAE Update #2, extract to your AAE directory. (12/13/08) AAE Update #1, extract to your AAE directory. (10/27/08) AAE Alpha Binary, including required Artwork and Sound files (Not MAME Standard) Alpha Build 87, updated Sept 28th 2008 (58MB). The bottom one is the actual emulator. Update #1 is good to add. Update #2 doesn't work in a lot of setups. If the emulator does not work outside HyperSpin or HyperLaunchHQ, try to run stand alone. Then post your aae.log file here. Be sure to use code tags. matabhaine Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 First off, think I was being a bit of a snob when I saw the word ALPHA :-) I downloaded the alpha version and the first update, it runs outside of HS but inside HS it throws out this AutoHotKey.dll error. Error at line 472. Line Text: ReturnRunwait, %executable% %romName%, %emuPath%, Hide UseErrorLevel Error: This line does not contain a recognised action. The program will exit. rfancella Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Hi, Great. Part of the way there. AAE runs outside of HS and HLHQ! It also appears, from the log, that HyperSpin is correct also. Good! The issue appears to be in your HyperLaunch (RocketLauncher) configuration. This issue would best be addressed at the RLauncher.com site. Please set your logging level to Troubleshooting and post your HyperLaunch log there (with code tags).
