Creative uses of Hyperspin with friends

I don't know if it's that obvious or if I'm the only one doing that, but when I thought I'd share my little game with everyone here.

 

When I have friends over, we fire up Hyperspin on my retrogaming box, and set up the time before attract mode is activated very low in HyperHQ (like 15 seconds).

 

Someone takes the first gamepad and selects a system, and then waits for attract mode to kick in. Once it stops on a game, the person holding the gamepad starts it and plays with it with everyone else cheering him on. The goal is to last at least 10 minutes on a game, if that's possible Then we exit the game and hand the gamepad to someone else.

 

It's a great way to discover games or genres you didn't know existed, or simply realize older games were much, much harder. We have had great laughs when someone landed on a horse race or fishing game, for instance.

Woah,...that is a killer idea.  Gotta try this.  But have to have friends actually come over first.  That's the hard part haha.

My son and I have done something similar to this.  We'll use the HyperSpin button to spin the wheel and wherever it stops is what we play.  We've spent many hours doing this.
