OneBadVeggie Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Hey, I recently switched over to Retroarch for my main PSX emulator. I was using regular mednafen previously and everything worked just fine as I remember it. I copied all my bios files over to where they should be on Retroarch and have been using the PSX mednafen core. Anyway, when the new XML came out for PSX I started updating files and when I started testing European games, I'm just getting a blank screen. USA games still work fine, haven't tested Japanese games yet... but yeah, anyone else having issues?
Dubbloseven Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 did you try some different bios files? if you switched over from epsxe for example; it is possible that retroarch and the mednefen core use a different bios file to work properly. sometimes finicky. OneBadVeggie Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I used mednafen before, so it's the same bios files as far as I know.
Awakened Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 The euro BIOS that works with Mednafen changed at some point. You can check if your BIOS file hashes match with the ones on the Libretro wiki.
OneBadVeggie Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 Yep, that was it, needed to update it. All fixed now!
