Keyboard keys not working in Hyperspin

Hi,

I have installed hyperspin/mame installed on a external HDD.

Using this on my laptop everything works fine. When Hyperspin starts up i can select the systems and after that the games and play them.

I now have a older desktop which i want to use dedicated for Hyperspin. Fresh installed windows so no problems i would think.

But.... when i start up hyperspin the normal keyconfig does not work. If i press "enter" it will go back to the first system of the wheel.

I can go up and down the wheel with the arrows, i can not select a system, "a" and "o" function like the up and down arrows.

"Esc" works as pauze. I can therefore also not exit hyperspin because the exit menu does not come up.

The strange thing is that it works on the laptop and not on the desktop with the same installation.

Hopefully somebody knows a solution.

Thanks in advance

how can the keyboard keys not work if you are able to control hyperspin?

  you more than likely have.

Well known bug of - No speakers connected to your computer.

or

Open HyperHQ and make sure to disable any rom/theme/wheel filters

Thanks 4 your reply.

The problem was solved when i attached the speakers....

Unbelievable.. heard of a speaker bug but i thought it was down to not installing the sound card/correct drivers.

But as soon as i plugged in the speakers... Problem solved!!

I wish life was always this simple :=D

Thanks!!!
