  1. Ah ok so he was just talking about the Run N Gun genre, my bad. Post fixed Yeh Austin's vids do tend to run on for a while.
  2. Why are you trying to set up a game using something you found on facebook? You could just look above where it shows tutorials and downloads. Run N Gun is a Arcade game, you can run it using the MAME emulator. Unless they also released a PC version of the same game or another game with a similar title like this one? http://gaijinent.com/en/games/runngun You don't drag and drop anything into HyperSpin it's a Emulator Frontend (all the emulation part of it can be done through RocketLauncher by setting up MAME), they just say to do stuff like that for people to pay them to image a preconfigured hard drive (which is illegal btw). Here you go just follow this video posted by Simply Austin to set up HyperSpin with RocketLauncher. If you are talking about the arcade game it's easy to find that rom online, its called "rungun". If it's another PC game you can just set that up using pclauncher just by pointing it to the .exe file. Also if you are using Windows 10 I would just follow the video guide and stick with version 1.3 as some video delay problems seem to be caused using 1.4.
  3. Have you tried messing with the *:\HyperSpin\Settings .ini files? There are some settings that can be adjusted there under the [wheel] tag, I don't know if you can add more or less that what is defined using the HyperHQ UI though. "horz_wheel_y" is there, maybe it works by adding a vert_wheel_x value too? Other than that your only option would be to offset your images using Photoshop or GIMP like Avar suggested by adding in canvas padding to the right side of the wheelart to push it more to the left side of the screen.
  4. Yes all of the tools section and currently posted themes, but judging by the activity of the downloads section BBB and HyperSpin (Circo... ?) are still busy reimporting some old themes back from the old site and there still is no reposting of the Beta in the downloads section as of yet. Maybe it has been removed in favour of an upcoming Beta test? Circo did say it may take a while to get it all posted up and running like it should. Edit: A new Beta's back in the downloads section - Beta 1.4 Build 014 Platinum members only for the beta test at the moment.
  5. The downloads are still being worked on and need reposting, take a look at the http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/8980-download-section-woes/ post under this one in the announcements section. The HS 1.4 Beta hasn't been reposted yet. I'm sure BadBoyBill will fix this soon though as he is currently helping repopulate all of the missing downloads.
  6. Mine are working great, you just need to convert them to .gz straight from the .iso files (Right click>7zip>Add to archive and just select the highest compression settings for .gz format). After running them once I got a warning message but after that it auto generates the .tmp file to go with the compressed .gz file and runs them fine. Also don't forget to update to the latest RocketLauncher modules and add the .gz extension to RocketLauncherHQ You also probably wouldn't want to run the highest compression settings though on a large set as it takes quite a while to compress even 1 file with high settings, so I would reserve putting the settings up high if your going to be batch converting.
  7. Thanks Aorin, great news!... this is gonna save me a whole lot of disc space on my already full hard drive BTW: .Gz is also supported using the 7zip utility too for people who are already using this as a main zip utility. (Not too sure on the batch support though, but I only have about 7 games installed for PS2 so not really a problem for me) Maybe someone can confirm batch conversions using the .gz extension and 7zip?
  8. Put me down for a hundred on HyperSpin 2.0 coming out before HyperBase Live. (Favourites never win) Come on HS 2!!!...

  11. Yes that would cause a few problems.. Luckily here's the solution Push button covers https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=push+button+switch+cover&client=firefox-a&hs=H95&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&channel=sb&tbm=isch&imgil=aAYbIBgjZVsPXM%253A%253Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fencrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com%252Fimages%253Fq%253Dtbn%253AANd9GcRSydGEa8F0PO8yd9fr_zTJE7nCGq3Np_hFytWR1nHgscwecpT_%253B300%253B300%253BPYG0LUSR1B8YIM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.amazon.com%25252FLocking-Contact-Protection-Button-Switch%25252Fdp%25252FB0094GMHE8&source=iu&usg=__N7uIeXCWHzRJbMi5EPv-JkEOTzM%3D&sa=X&ei=PtDTU969M8ag7AbpxoHgDA&ved=0CFsQ9QEwBQ&biw=1920&bih=961#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=As_2oK82flYkDM%253A%3BvCcPWEafZ22TjM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fstatic.pepboys.com%252Fimages%252FproductImages%252F48165100%252FPL-SW58B_1.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.pepboys.com%252Fproduct%252Fdetails%252F210160%252F%3B500%3B500 I shut my computer off every night and several times throughout the day and it has been running for over 4 years, but some people say that doing it can cause the solder to crack by repeated heating and cooldowns caused by turning the PC on and off. But as long as you have adequate cooling for the motherboard I don't think this should be a problem. (You could always set the PC to shut down into standby mode (Hibernate or Sleep, using the power options in control panel) if your afraid of multiple power presses. Or even a held press I think using the Bios).
  12. Any power settings in the BIOS that would let you hold the switch to power the PC up? If there is you would only have to change the switch to a push button, change the power settings in the BIOS and reinstall the flip switch.
  13. You will have to download the xml file from HyperApps\HyperBase manually (I think, as I don't have platinum) and add it to the .\HyperSpin\Databases folder, but after that you will be able to download all the media through the HyperSync app. Not all Media will be downloaded as not all of the Mame system is complete but when new artwork is completed and added you will only have to sync using the app to get the latest themes, wheelart etc. The xml is only listed as ongoing as the Mame emulator is still being worked on and more games are added, so the list gets updated with every release.
  14. The original asteroids is just using broken animations. Either flag or strobe is being used. Open the zip file and just replace the Flag or Strobe text in the Theme.xml with Fade. And this makes no difference to me as I already have all the downloads from the downloads section. (I bet your feeling my pain baddie - Then again I should really donate for platinum, maybe one day)
