UPDATE 10/3/25 ok, so ... Media is indeed not working correctly at the moment because they have been adding a new feature and its not playing nice with windows. From what ive been told, Its a major wrench in the cogs and fixing/patching is going to take a lot of work and time to get it stable again, but the lead programmer is confident in how to patch the problem, its just a pain in the ass. in the meantime, for those who aren't aware, (probably 99% of new users here since the days HS1 was in its hay days), I follow and keep current on anything ArcadePC, "TeknoChicken", and keep in sync with releases, patches, general progress, etc...That being said, I got inspired to put some theme .psd's together to get a jump on filling the new wheel with HD game themes. i posted a few here and there a while back and our loyal theme wizard @rondar, has been rad enough to animate and publish them for me because, when it comes to animations, i just don't have the creative thinking or ideas to bring my artwork to life. I have posted several times in the past about wanting a partner/assistant that i could share the psds with, and let them animate/publish them but it has never worked out, and i have a lot of project files stacking up on the backup drives. If you want to help out just let me know and shoot me a dm. You can also shoot me or rondar a dm, if you want opinions or advice or need help to create a desired effect, or even just to show off your work! Getting back to my original subject, TeknoParrot, now supports Sega Triforce, Namco system 246/256, and Namco system 357/359 , and has made great improvements in the compatibility and visuals so i started game themes for Namco system 357/359 and gave the psd files to rondar to polish and animate for us. Heres the screenys of the set so far and as i said, they are only W.I.P. so artwork could be added or omitted befor they get published. Just thought a little eye candy to get you stoked a little bit, couldnt hurt right?!

rondar's HyperSpin 2 HD Game Themes - Arcade PC/Teknoparrot WIP
baddeolv replied to rondar's topic in Theme Announcements
Still amazes me how you are using the toolset to make all that happen. I have a few more for you to play with and break my brain again if you want lol @rondar -
...for anyone interested in the laserdisc box combos. I uploaded them to the emumovies ftp submissions under my folder there

not much to report. Devs have released a new private beta to the team to test, but have been reported several bugs, preventing the public release of this particular installment. once its been ironed out enough , you will be able to test the public release of this version. Im seeing a lot of really cool features being added, but i cant reveal the specifics, because they are the ones that are entitled to unveil them. Just believe me when i say that quite a few of the requested features ive read in the forum, are popping up, plus a ton of extras! Ive been keeping busy with artwork projects, most of which are just creations i made to place on my personal setup. As well as getting back into my theme'n groove with a few mor ArcadePC themes. Heres a few screenshots:

Can we get a dev update please?
baddeolv replied to Trnzaddict's topic in HyperSpin General Discussion
Again, we have the same thing to deal with in our own lives and supervisors as well. However, this is what we are doing outside of that. It's not going to be a convenience for anyone but we have to expect that there are not going to be an organized scheduling option to post updates, especially when there's nothing to update about if programming is ongoing and hasn't been completed with whatever they may be programming at the moment. Lol ps I'm the youngest at 42 and rondar has a few years on me so I'm sure he will be flattered to be referred to as a youngster lmao. Let's just keep this at the neutral tone as we have maintained here in the future and we will not have any other problems with each other and more so, get back to the positive community that we used to have. When it comes down to it, that is what this is all about. We're all too damn old to be treating each other like this when there's geek shit that needs to be done. Agreed? Bottom line, I hear you and I will try to make more time to post updates on what is happening. And I hope that you can understand me, and my request that you just tone down the passive aggressive commenting on the forums when you can. Thanks sir -

I'm not arguing with you that it's frustrating to be in the dark about the progress and I personally think that they should have waited to get the beta to a more stable one before it was opened up to the public. The fact is that the one who has the authority to release the beta was just super excited to show you guys that it is happening. I am all about the posts on your frustration and concerns, however, be an adult and don't take pop shots and slide in verbally aggressive insults towards the ones that are trying to get everything smoothly running and utilize everything that is requested from you guys integrated into a massive endeavor. That being said, I am not on the team that is doing the programming and engineering, I am just providing artwork for them as they request. I don't have a lot of free time to check in on the forum, but I'm trying to answer the questions that I have information on as I come across them. Now that is not a frequent thing as I have a lot of stuff that is going on with my personal life on top of contributing what I am able in the free time which is basically 12am to 6am sometimes. I would just like to see a mutual respect amongst us instead of being rude and feeling like you have to reply to everyone who posts on the forum with a comment that is not helpful and actually just trying to discredit any and all work that is being done, while not having any idea of what Is actually going on. He's a jerk and he has been constantly posting trash for the last few months at least. I'm sorry you have abandoned the idea of hs2 but I urge you to take another look at it once it's finished and buttoned up. Cliff notes: be angry and comment on what is frustrating to you, but be an adult and don't blatantly insult anyone who is not trying to be the enemy and you have to be patient with us to help with information IF they are aware of the situation behind the scenes. Thank you for your understanding and support in this situation and you are not being held against your will if you want to leave, but we are hoping you stick around with us. -

Does it hurt to be an asshole on every single post on these forums? You have made quite a name for yourself and it has not been unnoticed. Keep your comments cordial and act like you have a little bit of respect for the people who are trying to juggle multiple things on top of the home lives please. If you can't do that you can just go back to the frontend that we are supposedly trying to clone. No more disrespect or you will not have the ability to post here anymore. Thank you for your understanding - baddeolv -
QUESTION: Is the HyperList Website Gone?
baddeolv commented on DarkTemplarGS's record in HyperSpin 2 - Development Questions
With the new beta that is automated, hyperlist has been made a private admin toolset to use for updating sync assets for HQ. I'm sure in the future they are going to setup a new site for the users to make custom documents with, but as for the time being, it is non existent unless you do as stated above and utilize the way back machine -
Can we get a dev update please?
baddeolv replied to Trnzaddict's topic in HyperSpin General Discussion
I'm still working on artwork projects and filling out the hyperlist media defaults list for the initial alpha, and others are working on imports of artwork sets in the background for the sync. The programmers are chipping away at all the bugs that are being posted in the forum as well as the private beta test discord but I'm seeing progress. I'm sure they will update a new version soon, so we can keep working out the bugs and adding more features. Hang tight, the work has been steady and no one has stopped investing in the beta upgrades. -
Hyperspin 2 includes a Launcher?
baddeolv replied to Tha_Warrior's question in HyperSpin Issues and Questions
Rocket launcher is not required for hs2 to launch into a game but it will be an option to use a little more down the road as the beta reaches completion of course -
You can use the old method to make use of hs1 artwork with the overrides folder that's inside the media folder. And yes, the sync system uses a serialized system to identify each piece of artwork that hs2 downloads on sync... also above my pay grade lol
-
You just have bad timing for the artwork, we are in the middle of adding each system and updating the ones that were previously working on sync, but thanks for letting us know anyway lol. I'm guessing it's a good couple of weeks to get it back in action, but it will be worth the wait
-
HQ will update automatically or by clicking settings on the top and looking for "check for updates" on the left side about 3/4 of the way down

I noticed that we have a few platforms that are missing complete box and Cart artwork and I have started to create the ones that I noticed as I installed them on my wheel. Here is a preview of my progress so far, and more to come over time

I'm not sure if it has been integrated yet but I am sure it will be as the beta goes on. I saw that 7zip is part of the install inside the plug-in folder so it has to be there for a reason I would assume. For the time being you can see if the system you are trying to use the no working unzip features for can be used in retroarch without the need for unzipping. Or if it is absolutely a need for the system on your setup I would just unzip the roms temporarily until the beta supports unzipping on the fly. Thank you for your understanding and be assured that we have not stopped working on the frontend. Also you can post that as a feature request in the forum and it may be pushed through early by our programmer team.

these are awesome! keep it up duder!!
-
i requested the same thing and I was informed that it was being worked on but it is not going to play nice with the other features so it is being studied for a way to add that feature without breaking a lot of other features so its going to be a good while to get it done.
