Aorin
Launch a Genesis game, press F1 to enter UI, go to settings/video settings, in aspect ratio index, press > or < in your keyboard arrows and see what aspect fits your needs.
Guest rynoman03
Great Advice! Question though. 1. Do most of you folks keep a 4:3 ratio or if you are using a widescreen do you go ahead and do the 16:9. I understand anything but 4:3 isn't the true game ratio. Well at least in my opinion. 2. I found where to change the aspect but how do I get RetroArch to apply this to all of my Sega X32, Sega Genesis games, and Nintendo Games?

This is probably an issue with the bezel ini file. Check it to see if the coordinates are correct. If anything, set them to 0, 1, 1920, 1080 (ex for 16:9 1080p screen) and it should display in full size, centered on the screen with the bezel. On 7/11/2016 at 8:35 PM, rynoman03 said: 1. I always run the games in their original aspect ratio. In RetroArch I have the configs set to use "core provided" ratio. On 7/11/2016 at 8:35 PM, rynoman03 said: 2. You probably have RocketLauncher set to look for core specific config files (which is the way to go, in my opinion). You should create or update all of the different config files to have these same settings.
Guest rynoman03
Would this be easiest done with Notepad++ to the config file or actually launch RetroArch and make a save to the config? Honestly I'm still trying to figure out RetoArch. I'm sure there is a way to set what Console to launch X config. I'm just missing that step somewhere along the line. I've been following SimplyAustin's setups via YouTube and i've got most of the hang of things but i'm still learning or relearning. Also having some issues getting my N64 games to center into the Bezel. Another challenge
griffin518
I would just use RA to modify the file... just be sure that the first thing you do is load the new config, then make whatever changes you need to.
Guest rynoman03
Got it. I got ahold of SimplyAusin as well. He told me to re-watch his RA video. I found what I was missing. I knew you had to make the change in RA then save the config but I wasn't understanding how to use the config once changed. I get it now Thanks mate! PS: I made a little snippet below in case others have the same issue.
