Hi,

I having problems using a controller in Hyperspin. When I launch Hyperspin  it doesn't recognize it.

Does anyone have the step by steps to control the menu with a controller.

Also I'm trying to use the new Rocket Launcher but I remember when I used to use Hyperlaunch when I went to keymapper and added a new Xpadder profile it said Hyperspin now in RLauncher it just says RocketLauncherUI. Is this correct??????

Option 1: Use hyperspin beta's built-in joystick controls by ensbling them and setting them up in hyperhq

Option 2: set xpadder as your startup program in hyperhq and send the file paths to your profiles in the command line parameters.

Option 3: write your own startup script to start xpadder with hyperspin

Option 4: Use one of the startup scripts found in the download section on this website.

I have mine setup but it is buggy and sometimes just doesn't work.  I am assuming development has stopped and you need to really look into the scripts, there is also retroFE, something I am seriously looking into.

You won't get it perfect but it's better than nothing.

Can an XBox 360 controller be setup and used using a plain vanilla fresh installation of HyperSpin without using add-ons such as XPadder??? If not, WHAT IS GOING ON??

*** PLEASE ADD NATIVE XBOX 360 CONTROLLER COMPATIBILITY *** Besides the X-Arcade, it's the only decent controller out there.

i tried setting up xbox controller with hyperspin. Got the main menu to work perfect but then when you open up a system and load a rom the controls do not change to the emulator profile and stay on the main menu hyperspin profile. Gave up in the end. Be good if someone out there that has it working could provide us with a tutorial on how to set it up

Jimmy, what method where you using for controlling hyperspin?

I am guessing you were using a keymapper (X-Padder/Joytokey) because that's the only way control mapping will remain once the emulator starts up. If you were using hyperspin beta inbuilt control mapping, that only will apply whilst hyperspin is on. Same if you are using Ghutch's script.

Now, if it was joytokey you were using, I got this working good with X-Box controllers so can talk you (and anyone else) through it. I imagine x-padder works same, but I used joytokey so that's the one I know.

Let me know if that's what you are doing and I'll post all the instructions and config files etc

P.S. I only use a keymapper because the beta controls are a bit buggy on a high resolution display. If you aren't displaying in 1080p I would jsut go with setting the beta controls in hyperhq as I understand they work fine.

Also, sorry for not quoting you direct or doing any other advanced replying. For some reason on my browser none of that works which is really annoying.

i use xpadder. I have it start up automatically with the PC. I have a Player1 profile setup to open when Hyperspin.exe is started. and I have a blank profile with no keys assigned to set for every emulator .exe file in auto profile for xpadder. the blank profile allows me to setup my controls in the emulator for my controller that I use. by doin this it allows ur controller to be used as normal. works great with my setup. 563868d277d8e20388460a0728be37e6.jpg
