mwolffe Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I've been working on and off with setting up my mame computer for awhile now and I am almost to the point of getting to the cabinet and controls. I recently found these Zero De!ay USB boards on eBay. Does or has anyone used these? They look simple enough to setup, but I wasn't sure how they work with the HyperSpin program. I tried hooking up my Mortal Kombat collector edition fight stick that was released for the xbox 360. It uses Happ controls just like in an arcade and even has the USB plug. I managed to get the basic mapping done of the joystick and buttons. But I found that some games still didn't work properly and there was no way to start or escape without using the keyboard. I'm kinda new at this so any advice would be really helpful. Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
Silverback Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I have recently purchased the zero delay boards and can say I have had no trouble setting them up to use with HyperSpin. I previously had the Xin Mo encoder setup and this was similar. I use the Hyperspin startup script to control hyperspin with them and then use the emulators built in control config to set up my controls. I connected the start and exit buttons to player ones board. Any other emulator you use that does not support the encoder boards I would then use Xpadder. Startup script is here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/7415-hyperspin-startup-script/ Xpadder is here: http://www.xpadder.com/ Good luck.
Metalzoic Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I use an Ultimarc iPac encoder for my control panel. Translates all arcade button/joystick presses into keyboard key presses, no delay, comes with a program to change the button configuration easily, uses one of the buttons (I use 1P start) as a shift button so holding that can change all the other button/joystick inputs. So for example my "Coin" button sends the enter key when pressed, but shifted it send the ESC key. My 2P Start button sends the 2 key normally, but shifted it send TAB etc...
