There are soooo many wrong/stupid things posted by the whiners there that I'm tempted to sign up solely to retort. It's probably best that I don't because I'm not sure that I would be able to maintain the civility that rdhanded2 has.

I wholly agree with this:

"HS is not for everyone."

As soon as someone states that they will just wait for a torrent I write them off. He asked zero questions here, asked for help zero times here, and yet has decided that HS is too hard to set up and therefore it sucks.

I will try again when I get home. I can get to the page I need to be at to do it, but it keeps failing to load.

I tried to register there a few weeks back and stopped when it came to a page to enter my bank details, thought that was a bit strange, so i haven't signed up.

They had problems with people creating multiple accounts as well as Spam accounts. This stops that from happening. I can understand it to a degree.

I pretty much crashed the thread and made everyone feel stupid. They seem to think that hyperspin effects emulator compatibility runny games. Doh!

The menu is essentially a first person shooter through a 3D arcade... How can Hypershit come close to that?

They are fully rendered cabs that you zoom into when you select a game.

An interface that is really nothing more than an Ultracade copy isn't that impressive.

Not to mention the ignorance in several other posts.

How funny. What would this same program do when handling consoles? Run us through a virtual BestBuy or Fry's?!

Better still, what about a virtual Wally World (Walmart)?! It could have mods that one could install simulating a 450lb lady in spandex reaching for a box of twinkies! Oh sign me up! :bootyshake:

No worries pal. It's probably just as well. Arguing with people of their mental capacity is similar to pissing into a strong wind, though it does provide a temporary source of amusement, especially after a few suds.

Got a reply from a mod on klov.

We're working on a few bugs and the upgrade script is currently not working.

So they are atleast aware the recommendation screen is not working.

I mean comon, just read through the whole thread, it's just sad. These people have made up their shortsighted minds and are sticking by it. Just leave em be, playing their games form their xbox or through a flawed outdated front end. Yes, the thread might influence other readers the wrong way, but I really don't care. They don't seem to get it and it's their loss, no point talking to a wall, they're just gonna keep coming with their flawed arguments & wrong assumptions. Well, at least the HS is tooo "flashy" hasn't come up yet :D

Or let em wait till HS is "complete" and the complete HS torrent is up & working, cause we all know that's gonna happen anytime soon! :P

yeah, I wonder what's so attractive about having a 3D environment looking like it's developed with technology in the early 90's as a FE. And why would you need preview vids if you can look at a very limited collection of 3D models :D

btw, I was referring to the FE poll on byoac with my too flashy comment

at least there they have a decent alternative to HS lol: MameChose!

Swear anytime I see a posting of a "NEW ARCADE FE" and it looks like this, my eyes throw up just a little. Let'em throw their little fits.
