demonseed Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Hey Guys I have a bunch of PS2 games, I used rommanger to rename them. In HS I have the list and wheels etc show, however some games do not load and say that no compatible file found. I noticed the 7z or rar of the game is named correctly, and inside there is a iso, sometimes different name than rar or 7z. Usually it works but sometimes they do not? I guess with the renaming apps, are they supposed to rename the 7z AND the ISO inside? must they be the same? Is there a way to scan my roms and verify what games are working vs not?? I am frustrated cause, some games work,, some error out and say no ext found? Any suggestions on how to correct issue? I hope that this makes some sense.... if not I can clarify.
32assassin Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 your ISOs inside 7z files should be named the same as the 7z file. with that being said you should extract all your files rename the ISOs to their correct name and finally re compress them using gzip. Why Gzip insted of 7z??????????? the latest versions of PCSX support direct Gzip loading, you will be able to disable 7z support in Rocketlauncher and still save HD space. read about it here http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-New-ISO-compression-help-testing
demonseed Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 thanks bro! To rename the ISO I can just use romrenamer again? And to GZIP, what tool is used? Is there a way to batch compress them? From my understand I must use a certain PCSX2 version? I also noticed some games I have are bin/cue. I have confirmed that the games NOT working have the wrong name inside the 7z. I thought that those renamers renamed the inside file too? Maybe not..
